Wayne broadcasting Live at Ground Zero with local firefighters

For his live broadcast in October 2001 from Ground Zero in New York, he won a Canadian Association of Broadcasters "Special Citation" for community service. The following year Wayne was voted "Broadcaster of Tomorrow" from the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters.
