If you are going to do a TV or Radio interview you HAVE to share your opinion! You have to tell us something. YOU MUST share some information to help.
Otherwise don't waste our time!
I recently had a guest on my show with a great topic. They did a really great job of telling us what the problem was – and how to know if you might have a problem – but they never really said what to do about it!
You have to give a solution! You have to give listeners something that they can do right now to fix that problem that we identified at the beginning of the interview.
The fastest way to NEVER get booked on a Radio or TV show again is by not sharing a solution.
If we are talking about Heartburn – tell us what to take to fix it.
If we are talking about cereal – tell us the best and worst
If we are talking about computer anti-virus – tell us which one you like
If we are talking about _________________-tell us______________.
I think many people don't want to generalize when offering a solution…because there are so many options…but we really need you to pick some sort of solution and share it. Otherwise it was a waste of time having you on the show in the first place.
