Last week I had Patricia Morgan on my radio show to talk about her new book from Woe to Wow. This week I was suprised to get a thank you post card in the mail from Patricia. The card is her book cover…and I have to say a great branding tool.

And why would I be blogging about this…because people don't send than you notes anymore…so when one comes across the desk like this…it stands out as something special to producers…and then gets featured on my bog

The little things really can make a big difference.

Across the street from our radio station studio in Nelson BC sits the Funky Monkey Burger Barn. The owner is Larry Gorril. Larry was lucky enough to get 4 tickets to the closing ceremonies to the Olympics only problem…he had more friends who wanted to go with him than he had tickets. So instead of losing any of his friends, Larry decided to give 2 tickets to Ellen. He emailed the show, and they loved the idea. Of course Ellen can't go…but they had another idea…and on Friday they gave them away on the show to a lady from Virginia.

Now Larry will meet the lady in Vancouver and show her around the city followed by cameras so they can air it next week on TV…and he was also invited to the Ellen show as a follow up.

Larry has been written up in stories all over North America and when I went to the Funky Monkey Burger Bar on Friday for lunch…the place was packed!!!

Good things really do happen to nice people.

A little bit of fun on our radio show today. After a deep tough discussion about the state of healthcare and school closures…it was nice to have Joanna in Greece send a song request for her friend who's moving to Greece. And then after we played the song…she emailed us to say thanks. Small world eh?
