New York Cab Driver – Radio Interview Royalty!

Peter hard at work
Being a radio host and media coach, I pay very close attention to what makes a great interview. In particular, do I get a good vibe during the interview.

I have been interviewing the Gabby Cabby from New York for almost 8 years now. I even took my radio show on the road once and broadcast from his cab. Listen to the feeling and vibe the Gabby Cabby gives off in this interview. He always has an opinion and never sits on the fence. This is a key to being a great interview.

Enjoy my interview with Peter Franklin, the Gabby Cabby, from www.gabby.com

Great example Wayne of having a strong persona acts as a magnet for attention.

In a world full of politically correct speech where most people walk the line and are afraid to say anything that we've been indoctrinated to believe is "wrong" or "evil" or… God forbid… say something that some man, woman, child, (or cross-dresser, molester or red-footed blue-nose field mouse) may take as "offensive" — it's really quite easy to stand out.

Stop being a squishy Jello-like person and stand for something. When you speak your mind, you'll be surprised to see you've got a Tribe of raving fans who've quietly been thinking what you've actually had the guts to say.

Thanks for the example Wayne. ;-)

    Love it,

In a world of political correctness, it is time for the public to get over themselves. Most people are such victims, take responsibility, educate yourself by listening to the opionions and views of others. If you agree with them great, if not at least you will strengthen your own convictions and maybe… just maybe… you can be a voice for change.

  3. [...] My good friend Wayne Kelly over at On Air Publicity has a great example of this "get-real" approach. It's a quick radio interview with the Gabby Cabby. [...]
