1. I'm finally back and...

I apologize for being gone so long! I took my radio show on the road...well, on the water actually. I broadcast my show live on a cruise to Alaska with NCL Cruise lines. It's a tough job but someone had to do it! What an incredible time. This was my first cruise...and it won't be my last!

PLUS I just finished another full-on 6-week Publicity Training course and I have some incredible grads who are now getting booked on radio shows across North America!

So that’s where I’ve been, now let’s get to the PR tip for today.

2. Meet Granny Mave!

Last week as I was doing my radio show, the studio hotline rang...it was Granny Mave. She's a 70-year-old grandmother who's first trip to Canada happens to be a bike trip across the country raising money for cancer. What a great story! And what's impressive from a media perspective is that she called at 8am and was on the air at 8:10am. Why? Because I knew people would be seeing her ride along the highway as they came into work...so it added a visual element to the world of radio.

The other part of the story is I'm 37 and I would never even DREAM of trying to ride my bike up some of the mountain passes this granny was riding...so it was a fun and inspiring interview.
