Prepare to Fail with Media

I am sure you've already heard about the importance of writing out your goals to make the most of your year!

BUT do you do it? Happy New Year!

I write out sales forecasts, client numbers, and podcast, Blog, and newsletter ideas…PLUS I write down what I will do to make my goals happen. It is just a great feeling to then envision how my life will feel when I achieve these goals.

BUT what if things don’t work out as planned? Then what?

No worries – failure is all part of the success journey!

Don’t take my word for it…take Oprah’s:

Oprah Winfrey has admitted that she is prepared for the worst when it comes to her brand new network OWN — The Oprah Winfrey Network. She told Entertainment Weekly, "I think we're going to have some perhaps rocky times with the channel, keeping people there and keeping people motivated to keep watching, keeping them engaged . . . Taking the responsibility of programming even the first 600 hours. It's a lot. And knowing that half of what we're doing is not going to work, then what? But it's an ongoing process, and I trust the process."

So if I’m reading this right…Oprah is prepared for a 50% failure rate in what’s on the air right now on the OWN.

So why are we so devastated when we fail? We need to learn from Oprah and know that some things will work and some won’t…it’s how fast you change, adapt and keep moving forward that really matters!
