The hot topic for most radio shows in America this week – THANKSGIVING travel, food, and shopping!

If you can bring anything exciting to the table – it still isn't too late to contact your local radio stations with some Thanksgiving advice on how to survive family during this weekend.

OR another idea is how to recover after this Thanksgiving weekend.  Maybe Mom or Dad said things that upset you. If you are almost done for the week – pitch a quick email with a few talking points on POST Thanksgiving recovery. That would be a great Monday topic!

These are 2 topics I'll be discussing on my show this week.
They both made me laugh!

THANKSGIVING DINNER FEE? SOME HOSTS CONSIDER CHARGING FAMILY MEMBERS: Can you imagine asking each of your relatives for $30 as they enter your house this Thanksgiving? It’s a thing that some people really do. It all started when a Twitter user noted that her aunt charges family members $30 per plate. The American Farm Bureau Federation reports the average cost of Thanksgiving dinner for ten people is just $49.12, a 75-cent decrease compared with last year. So that aunt who is charging at the door is raking in a cool $300, which seems like more than enough money. The internet is divided in its opinion on this issue. Buzzfeed wrote an article about it, and one reader commented, “My family doesn't charge, but whoever made dinner keeps all the receipts and then everyone splits the bill. That still leaves one person/family cooking everything, cleaning, having folks over, so it's not exactly a fair split anyway.” Where do you stand on this issue? (Fox)

THESE TRICKS COULD HELP YOU GET YOUR LUGGAGE FIRST AT BAGGAGE CLAIM: If you check a bag, waiting for it to appear on the carousel can feel like it takes forever. But there are a few things you can do to speed up your wait time. First, you can ask the representative at the check-in counter to attach a fragile sticker to your bag. Bags marked in this way will typically be loaded later and therefore come out sooner when you get to your destination. Gate agent Thomas Sciuto also says you can wait to be the last person to check-in, which follows the same logic as the first suggestion. Still, loading and unloading systems can sometimes vary, so in some cases those who check in last may not necessarily get their bag first. The only guaranteed ways to get your bag first is by either booking a first or business class flight, or by joining an airline’s frequent flier club so you get a priority tag on your bag. (Time)

Aren't those great stories???LOL

I'll leave you by saying –  I'm a Canadian and we celebrated our Thanksgiving last month. It was on a weekend and shopping wasn't part of it…but to truly embrace my neighbours (That's not a spelling mistake – in Canada we add a u)…

I will celebrate with another Thanksgiving dinner – and some football!

To my American friends – Have a Happy Thanksgiving
To everyone else – have a great week!
