Hot Media Release of the Week

Every week I share the hottest media release that crosses my producer desk. What I liked about this media release is Corey talks about phones ringing. Why is this a good thing?
Because in radio we want to have listener interaction.

Here's what crossed my desk! Good job Corey!

Hot Media Release of the Week

It's been awhile since I posted a media release that caught my eye. I saw this in a show prep site being sent out to hundreds of radio show hosts and producers. It tells me everything I need to know and of course it's relevant now.

Here it is:

You should talk to Dr Linda Hancock. She's funny, she's
uplifting, she has answers to the problems faced by many people
in today's "sucky" world.

Yeah, right now for many people — Life Sucks. Where's the
adventure? The world seems kind of Crazzzzy The economy is in
the dumpster. Technology has turned 9-5 into a 24/7 marathon.
Dating has been replaced with "Hanging Out".

Dr. Linda Hancock is a newspaper columnist, author, Registered
Psychologist, and Social Worker who has helped many people turn
their chaotic lives into an adventure.

Hot Media Release of the week

Every week, I'll keep you posted with my pick as the hottest media release (or press release) that tried getting on my radio show.

This week the winner is:

Today's topic — junk.

Your trash could be more valuable than you think. Operators of 1-800-GOT-JUNK franchises are hauling away garbage and then some from the homes of clients across North America. They've found everything from signed presidential documents to a copy of the first Spiderman comic. A company spokesperson says it's truly amazing what people will throw away.

Canadian-based 1-800-GOT-JUNK started as a one-man operation 16 years ago. The company will have 250 franchises throughout North America by the end of the year.

In 1989, university student Brian Scudamore encountered a tight summer job market in Vancouver, Canada. While working at a McDonald's drive-thru, Brian discovered his future career was in junk. He spent his last $700 on a used pickup and start his own junk removal service.

After three increasingly successful summers, Brian knew it was time to take his Business to the next level. He invested in more trucks, hired drivers, and set out to make his company and its phone number a household name. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? The World's Largest Junk Removal Service.

Ask him about the weird stuff people throw out. Ask him why his company has been so successful.

Call 1-866 995 5865 Or send pr@1800gotjunk.com

Thanks for letting me post this Brian!
