Piggybacking a topical news story – YES you can do this!

I saw this topic and immediately thought how my audience of moms would LOVE this!

Forget the terms 'nanny' and 'babysitter,' parents these days are now hiring 'family assistants.' It refers to someone with experience in child care as well as an administrative background who can do a wide range of tasks from cooking family dinners to running errands to acting as a parent's personal assistant. Couples who are in need of a little extra help can hire a family assistant, but typically, you'll see them hired by two-income families whose kids are a little bit older. These special helpers are typically more expensive than nannies, in New York City, for example, they make an average of at least $30 an hour. Would you ever think about hiring one?

If you are an expert who helps busy moms, this would be a great story to get free publicity with.

You DO NOT have to create the story to be the guest who talks about it.
You can easily share this story and then add what you would be bringing to the interview, if a radio or TV show booked you as the go-to-expert.

It's always best to find a story that you know people would LOVE to discuss. Ask your friends if they would ever hire a family assistant? You could even throw this up on your facebook page as a poll and offer the results to your local radio or TV show.

It's all about ENTERTAINMENT – mixed with some education. Those are the keys to a successful interview!
Let me know if this works to get you free publicity!
